Beer and Mexican wine are my usual choices.
Unfortunately and these time's the restrictions on chemical use for pesticides and other uses have been diminished because of laws, I'm sure that every restaurant that we visit from time to time has some sort of rodent or pest lurking amongst the walls especially in older parts of town or and metropolitan areas it's almost unavoidable when you go anyplace expect that you may occasionally see that problem., On the other hand I am sold that that is one of the rare fines in Los Angeles where you can find truly authentic Mexican food that someone is not selling as tacos and burritos enchiladas so in my humble opinion it's very well worth the drive and any other thing we might run into.
It seems that they no longer put the same love or commitment to their food, that Hurts because before everything was very good. For what they charge everything deveria to be at the maximum!
I'm not sure. I could ask next time I stop there.
Very rich food. For those who like good Mexican food, do not look for more
Just had dinner last night, the notice on the door said they are open until 5:00pm on Thanksgiving day.
We have years going to this place the food is very typical Mexican, the decoration of the place too and the atmosphere feels very calm and pleasant the very good service of the live music is not the hours but I definitely recommend it
For 4 people sometimes we have paid up to 90. Depending on what they ask
A magical taste of authentic Mexico. Amazing enchiladas, killer guacamole, and friendly attentive service.
I love this place. I had the traditional chicken mole with white rice and hand made corn tortillas. Authentically delicioso!
Food is amazing, the service will go above and beyond for you , the soup cream squash was so delightful my compliments to the chef 💯 and the mole incredible flavors.
Great ace for authentic Mexican food. Always busy and decent prices.
Every time I go, I order something different and it NEVER disappoints! The mole is one of the best I've ever had! The margaritas are a bonus too!
Very small yet cozy place. Great food and live music. Loved the drinks
Good good, smallish portions, but filling. Reasonable with the prices.
Food is so overpriced with horrible service
Bad experience with the server Alejandro very unprofessional and unfriendly. He doesn’t know how to treat customers. Definitely I won’t be coming back or referring friends to this restaurant.
Dessert is my Favorite here. Love the Coffee. Churros and Flan are a must. Either flan is good.
Food was so delicious. Our server Osvaldo was super friendly and professional. You all need to try this place.
Would definitely recommend visiting this place. Exceptional character, delightful food, awesome customer service. They never disappoint.
La Casita Mexicana is a good place to go in family, the food feels it's made from scratch and they have good variety of dishes and each dish have personal touch , it's loud when it's full but it's a nice place inside
Great mole chilaquiles. Carne sessina had authentic taste
If you want to try authentic Mexican food that will remind you of your grandmother cooking. You need to came and try La Casita Mexican not only is the food great but the attention to detail on the decor and what can I say, the service we got from our waiter was five stars all the way. Definitely recommend stoping by and giving them a try.
Good authentic Mexican food. Very nice staff. I recommend.
They only deserves 5 Stars... Because there are no more stars to give! Amazing dishes; full of flavor. Meats are tender... Moles are amazing. Service: Ask for Osvaldo. Great attitude, fast service... Its like he runs the place.
Love this place they always have great service
Very good restaurant. I don’t recommend the breakfast as much as the lunch and dinner menu though. Most of things on the menu are really good. Prices are going up though.
The food was amazing. Our waiter was very friendly and explained the menu to us. Chef jaime came out and was greeting everyone and made us feel at home.
Best mexican gourmet restaurant in the area
Awesome! Loved it! Looking forward to the next time.
Great variety of dishes with a number of things that you wouldn't find at the average Mexican spot. The enchiladas de flor de la calabeza were excellent, as was the mole trio.
The owners are really nice in this place. Love environment and the live music.
Great first experience. Food was good. Service was great.
Food is always good here ,been a while since we came here but there still on point with service & a well maintained restaurant & it looks like they expanded because there is more seating available 👍 , can't go wrong eating @ this Mexican restaurant 💯
Hands down some of the best Mexican food in town. They have a huge selection of dishes traditional and fusion. I uploaded a picture of my receipt so you can get a better understanding of the prices. We visited on a Sunday they had a live Mariachi going from table to table singing traditional folk songs.
Food was excellent for exception to return one dish not hot when served.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, wait staff is attentive and on the night we went there was live music. The food was good but based on everything else I wanted it to be amazing. The fried fish appetizer was good but it was really the salsa that put it over the top. That being said it was just a tad bit on the salty side. The chiles enogadas was good but just a bit too sweet and lacked the savory contrast in the filling. The mole was solid but I almost wanted a bit more flavorful spices in it. Definitely a solid choice for dinner just a bit off the mark for me.
This place surpassed EL Ranchito for me the mole just blew my mind .. All the colors , green , red & traditional. The deserts were out of bounds as well. I'll be coming back for sure. Also tremendous service by the friendly waiters!.
Good place for having Mexican food. It has some dishes that are kind of hard to find somewhere else (like Chile en nogada) and they are very good. The place itself has some interesting paintings and murals in true mexican style and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not a cheap place to have lunch, so expect to pay around 25 per dish. Not in the nicest neighborhood but I don't think you will have any problems finding parking. I would go back if I was craving some authentic mexican food, didn't mind splashing the cash, and I didn't know/wanted to prepare the dishes.
Best place to get traditional Mexican food with a touch of culinary mastery
The food price $ is over rated and the Quality has gone down! The Mole is not fresh as it was once. The place has a beautiful ambiance, however the food needs to taste more authentic!
I do not recommend this place. Horrible food without any flavor, drinks are very expensive... we are not coming back!
the waiter was completely off with my order. bad service. im a very simple man with very simple needs. never received my salad and he brought me chorizo queso fundido when i didnt order it because i dont eat pork. he went on to say that i guess that was his lunch. what a jerk. he also went on to say he used to eat at this restaurant when he was a kid and dreads working there now because its a dump. over all very expressive experience not so good.....
Oh my heavens AMAZING food. Not only amazing food, Amazing chef, fantastic staff, margaritas to die for.Full selection wine bar, servers knowledgeable to recommend great pairings.I have been coming here for 12 years and can recommend EVERY SINGLE ITEM on the menu. Worth the drive from Newport ANY DAY. Hands down the BEST!!! THANK YOU
Great for years and years every time. Never fails, anything on the menu is worth it every time.
It is the first time that I was La Casita Mexicana really good food, excelente service I recommend it's a very good place to enjoy in family.💯
Food is always phenomenal. I recommend the tres moles chicken enchiladas.
This place was amazing! The food tasted authentic, the enchiladas didn’t taste like a typical chain restaurant. They tasted great, full of flavor. The different sauces added to the experience
Good service, variety and excellent flavor
Food is great and reasonably priced will definitely go back.
Food is so amazing and delicious. All the sauces they use for their enchiladas and chiles rellenos are out of this world! Highly recommend!
The wait was not worth it let me just start off by saying. The soup didn't have no taste it tastes like hot water it took an hour to get my beer it took almost 2 hours to get our food maybe they're understaffed I don't blame the waiter I had to ask for silverware napkins at one point I went to the back and got my own water the atmosphere is great seems like it's a great little restaurant but poor management I went on a Sunday around 6 on February 23rd I will not come to this restaurant again The food we order was OK nothing special This is just my opinion I don't blame the waiter he did his best to make this happy by giving us free dessert
First time there. Their Mole was great. They have a very large menu. Want to go back and try other dishes.
Service and staff were helpful and have no complaints with them. The steak I ordered had absolutely no salt or pepper. The meat tasted boiled and bland. I'd come here again but would try something else.
Very good Mexican food..nice/clean and good service..
This restaurant is very beautiful and has a homy feel to it. The food and environment was also very welcoming. I ordered the enchiladas and my mother ordered the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles are probably the best dish on their menu! Osvaldo was our server and he was amazing and kind and charming :) he made sure we had a good meal. Only negative of our experience was waiting to be seated and waiting to be checked out. Probably shouldn’t have to wait that long when it’s pretty empty (only 4 groups of people). Overall really good experience :)
Pretty good food. Bomb Flan!
I came here with my family and the food tasted authentic and pretty great. Its pricey but well worth it. The staff was friendly and professional and patient. The only bad thing was that I had ordered a tea but it took them 30 minutes for them to bring it. I'm not sure why it took them so long, the horchata was also kinda disappointing. It tasted like it was made from powder and it was kinda bland and watery. Other than that, it seems like a place worth visiting again in the future.
